MONTSERRAT CREATES INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES AND INCENTIVES TO DRIVE ISLAND'S RE-BIRTH
Master Plan for Economic Growth Signals Beginning of Montserrat Renaissance

Wednesday, February 26, 2014—Rarely do investors and developers have the opportunity to literally take ownership, at least to some degree, of the re-birth of a nation. But that is in fact the case on the beautiful Caribbean island of Montserrat as The Montserrat Development Corporation (MDC) launches a campaign to facilitate economic growth, fiscal self-sufficiency and a new chapter in tourism industry prominence.

Established in 2007 by the Government of Montserrat and reconstituted in 2012 with the support of the UK Department for International Development (Montserrat is a British Overseas Territory), the MDC recently introduced a Master Plan for growth featuring the creation of a new capital city. Included among the range of development and investment opportunities within the new capital area on the north side of the island is an elegant "centrepiece" hotel property, a marine village and service centre, a port to welcome ferries, small to mid-size cruise ships and private yachts, and a variety of incentive-driven commercial and residential investment possibilities.

"We are looking for investors and developers around the globe to share our vision of an economic renaissance for Montserrat," said Ivan Browne, CEO of the MDC. "We have prepared a compelling Master Plan for economic growth and we are now inviting commercial partners to bring it to fruition. The opportunity we are offering is unique - make good returns on investment by being part of Montserrat's economic and social rebirth."
